Your privacy and ownership of your creative reference library is our top priority. This policy explains how we handle your data when you use Bralul to catalog finds, build rubbing compositions, and organize your personal collection.

1. Information We Collect
User-Provided Content
All content you add to Bralul is fully yours. This includes:
- Photos you import from your device camera or photo library
- All metadata you add to your finds: titles, material types, motif categories, location tags, era labels, and personal research notes
- Layered rubbing compositions you build in the workshop, including your positioning, scaling, rotation, mirroring, opacity adjustments, and paper background selections
- Themed notebooks you create to organize your specimens and creative work
This content never leaves your device unless you explicitly enable optional cross-device sync or cloud backup.
Anonymous Non-Identifiable Usage Data
We may collect anonymous usage data to help us improve Bralul's performance and features. This includes information like app crash reports, feature usage frequency, and general device type. This data can never be linked back to you or your personal archive, and never includes your private creative content.
2. How We Use Your Information
We only use your data to deliver and improve the Bralul experience you expect, specifically to:
- Enable core product features: cropping your photos, browsing your archive in grid, immersive, or timeline views, generating color swatches and annotations for your finds, and supporting full creative control for layered rubbing compositions in the workshop
- Sync your archive across your personal devices if you enable this optional feature
- Fix bugs and improve app speed and reliability
- Develop new features based on how our community uses Bralul, using only aggregated anonymous data
We will never access, share, sell, or use your personal motif collection or creative content for any purpose other than providing the Bralul service to you.
3. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal identifiable information or private creative content with any third parties for commercial purposes.
Bralul only uses system-level permissions to access your camera and photo library to let you import your photos. These system services are governed by their respective privacy policies, and we do not control how they handle your data.
We may only disclose your information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of Bralul, our users, or the general public.
4. Data Storage & Security
By default, all your Bralul data is stored locally on your device. If you choose to enable optional cloud backup or sync, all your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access.
While we take all reasonable precautions to protect your data, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Your Rights & Control Over Your Data
You maintain full ownership and control over all your content stored in Bralul at all times. You have the right to:
- Edit, delete, or export any of your individual finds, compositions, or entire archive at any time directly in the app
- Turn off optional anonymous data collection and cloud sync at any point in app settings
- Request permanent deletion of any of your data stored on our cloud servers at any time
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or product features. We will notify you of any material changes through the app and post the updated policy here with a new effective date. Your continued use of Bralul after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
